The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) is an international institution that brings together media professors from more than 300 universities and educational institutions around the world. For more than 60 years, the BEA has organized conferences focused on the exchange of knowledge and the creation of strategic relationships among its members, which can be professors, industry professionals, as well as media and education institutions.

Even though it offers an annual convention in Las Vegas, in conjunction with the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters), the BEA understands that education should not be limited by the language or location where it is taught. Due to this, the association is proud to call the professors and media students from all over the continent to make a great event: The First Latin American Congress of Media Educators . The event will take place from November 7 to 9 in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, in Mexico.

Through this, we invite academics and academics from higher education institutions to present proposals for panels and presentations on the media (Film, Television, Radio and New Technologies) and on the teaching practices of these.

It will be an honor to have the multiple voices of our continent and to start a new stage of exchange between the professionals and educators of the media.
