FESTIVAL OF MEDIA ARTS
Each year the winning authors come from a wide variety of colleges and universities in the United States. In an effort to model the acceptance rates of academic peer-reviewed journals, the Festival targets an acceptance rate of 20%.
2022 Festival of Media Arts
Fifty-two (52) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2022 Festival of Media Arts. The 2022 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 25%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 15%.
2021 Festival of Media Arts
Fifty-two (52) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2021 Festival of Media Arts. The 2021 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 27%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 15%.
2020 Festival of Media Arts
Fifty-nine (59) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2019 Festival of Media Arts. The 2020 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 25%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 14%.
2019 Festival of Media Arts
Fifty-two (52) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2019 Festival of Media Arts. The 2019 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 23%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 16%.
2018 Festival of Media Arts
Thirty-Four (34) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2018 Festival of Media Arts. The 2018 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 24%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 13%.
2017 Festival of Media Arts
Thirty-Four (34) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2017 Festival of Media Arts. The 2017 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 23.1%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 12.9%.
2016 Festival of Media Arts
Thirty-One (31) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2016 Festival of Media Arts. The 2016 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 20%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 12%.
2015 Festival of Media Arts
Twenty-seven (27) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2015 Festival of Media Arts. The 2015 comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 20%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 11%.

Thirty-three (33) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2014 Festival of Media Arts. In 2014 the comprehensive percentage of all awards across all competitions was 20.0%. Overall acceptance rates for entries receiving our top awards (Best of Festival and Best of Competition) came in at 12%.
