BEA is an international academic non-for-profit organization that focuses on electronic media. We provide a forum for issues and topics of mutual concern to educators and practitioners, that facilitates interaction between academics and industry leaders. Currently over 2,600 professors, students and media professionals are individual members and approximately 250 college and university departments and schools are institutional members. We send out communications year-round to a list of over 6,000 and host over 1,200 in person each spring at our annual convention.

BEA partners with other industry organizations on an annual basis to offer its members exclusive opportunities not available elsewhere. We work together to creative competitions and educational seminars for students and faculty, private facility tours of major sporting events, discounted registrations to the industry’s biggest events and cutting-edge digital media training opportunities.

Newsletter Advertising

BEA sends out an electronic newsletter every other week to over 6,000 electronic media educators, students, and professionals. Get your message in front of these key demographic year-round with little turnaround time. Rates start at $500 for a one-time inclusion and are discounted the more you advertise.

Annual Convention @ NAB Show

For over 60 years the BEA has worked with the National Association of Broadcasters in creating the next generation of media professionals. BEA’s annual convention has been a major part of this endeavor. BEA brings in educators each year and they descend upon the NAB Show floor to see first-hand the latest and greatest tools and technology needed to teach students.

Each year, schools direct BEA members to come to Vegas, either to spend the remainder of that year’s money or find the products to help teach the current technologies and techniques that they will buy in the fall with new funds. Most of our member schools have technology fees that students pay each year that can only be spent on technology and products for that department.

BEA’s annual convention attracts 1,200 educators and students with 200+ sessions, events and an exhibit hall, making us the NAB Show’s largest conference partner.

BEA Festival of Media Arts

The BEA Festival of Media Arts is an international juried creative competition open to faculty and students. Top winners in each competition receive a $1,000 cash award in addition to recognition and exhibition of their work during the Best of Festival Awards Ceremony at BEA’s annual convention in Las Vegas.

Sponsorships run from $3,000-15,000

For over 20 years the Festival has been “The Showcase” for over 1,650 annual entries from over 300 different institutions. Separate competitions for faculty and students cover the range from dramatic narratives, through non-fiction documentary and news to the frontiers of interactive multimedia. Learn More at
