2019 BEA Student Media Clubs 48-Hour Film Festival Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 BEA Student Clubs Film 48 Student Film Festival!  Special thanks to all 20 teams who competed in the #BEAfilm48 held the weekends of October 25-27 and November 1-3, 2019.  The teams had to make their films in a pre-assigned genre (either comedy or action) and were also assigned three “production constants” that had to appear in each #BEAfilm48:
Required Prop: A Tennis Racket
Character Name: Abby Sutherland
Required Line: “I can’t believe this is happening again.”

Winning teams will receive three (3) complimentary BEA2020 registrations, certificates and will have their film screened during the annual BEA Conference in Las Vegas.  Click on the titles to view the winning films.

First Place:  Blood Money, University of North Florida – Team: Stupid Land Clowns
Second Place: Don’t Call it a Comeback, Colorado State University  – Team: CSU Team Oranges
Third Place: The 48-Hour Argument, Colorado State University – Team: CSU Apples
Honorable Mention: Two-Faced,  Franciscan University of Steubenville –  Team: Brilliance Lies In The Simplicity
Honorable Mention: Robbing a Heart, Western Connecticut State University –  Team: WestConn BestConn

Special thanks to the Student Clubs Competition Chair Chad Roberts —for organizing the Film 48 event and to our judges to providing feedback and selecting winners.
