Immersive Research Mini-Symposium Call for Proposals

Evolutions in technology are transforming storytelling, changing the ways we experience the world. This mini-symposium focuses specifically on immersive technologies, where the user enters a simulated world.

We seek papers and panels on immersive technology, including but not limited to research focusing on areas such as arts, advertising and public relations, computer/information science, digital humanities, film, interactive documentary (i-doc), practice based research (PBR), news, and sports.

We will also schedule a festival of creative work using technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and 360 video via the Interactive Multimedia Competition. The festival is open to both faculty and students and will run during BEA On Location in a dedicated room where users can experience the immersive projects.
