Executive Producer, Next TV Summit & Expo

Melissa Grego founded consulting practice Melinc (“mel-link”) in 2015 after serving as the first female Editor-in-Chief of leading TV industry publication Broadcasting & Cable.

Tapping Grego’s experience, knowledge and network developed over her 20-year career in TV and media business journalism, Melinc specializes in: Conference and event production, editorial content creation and strategy and consulting projects that empower women working in media and entertainment.

While leading B&C’s print, digital and live events efforts, she created the off-the-record Keynotes & Cocktails: Women of NY and Women of the West conference series to empower and connect women working in media and entertainment. Keynotes & Cocktails is now owned and operated by Melinc.

Grego continues to collaborate with B&C and its parent company NewBay Media as executive producer of NewBay’s Next TV Summit & Expo, a high-level, future-focused executive conference series providing insights into the impact of new video devices, delivery systems and consumer expectations in the OTT era.

Earlier in her career Grego held leadership or reporting roles at Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and TelevisionWeek. She has provided expert commentary about TV and media on ABC News, Access Hollywood, CNN, CNBC, Fox News, The Insider, MSNBC, NPR and Yahoo, among others, and was a special correspondent for Extra.
