This is
BEA’s most widely attended event and takes place on Saturday,
April 5th . Attendees gather at for the presentation of our
top awards and to listen to a keynote address. Past  keynotes
have included Larry King, Don Ohlmeyer, Bill Duke, Lowell
“Bud” Paxson, Stanley Hubbard and Eddie Fritts.

The BEA
Festival is a media competition for faculty and students with
categories in Video, Audio, Scriptwriting, News and Interactive
Multimedia.  The
festival is new to BEA in 2003, but various competitions have
existed within BEA for a number of years. The BEA Festival
brings together all of our competitions into a high profile
event which we are heavily promoting. There are eleven different
competition sessions at our convention where the best work
among categories is shown. This all culminates in a Saturday
night event where the best of the best are shown. We anticipate
a speaker of national stature from the entertainment industry
and we are soliciting a sponsor for this high-visibility opportunity.
