Job Description:

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication invites applications for a tenure track in Multimedia Communication and Journalism. A Ph.D. in this or a relevant discipline is required.
The candidate will teach courses in the MMCJ undergraduate program and may also teach at the graduate level. Teaching responsibilities will include courses such as Introduction to Mass
Communication, Media Ethics, Media Theory and Research, Media Convergence and Public Opinion. The candidate is required to engage in scholarly research and contribute to program
development. The candidate will also be expected to actively participate in student advising, and department, school, and university service. Demonstration of potential for excellence in teaching, research, and commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education is expected.

Requirements:

– A Ph.D. in Journalism/Communication or a relevant field
– A proven record of scholarly research
– Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
