2016 District Conferences

BEA Super-Regional 2016

Join BEA and the School of Journalism and Mass Communications for the first annual Fall Super-Regional Conference, October 13‌-15, 2016 in Columbia, South Carolina.  This three-day conference features professional and academic training workshops, topical and timely panel discussions, and competitions for both scholarly research and creative works.

Registration

BEA members, non-members and students (graduate and undergraduate) are welcome to attend. Registration fees include Thursday’s Opening Reception, Friday lunch, one training session and all snack breaks. Registration deadline is October 3, 2016.

Training Sessions

A full day of academic and professional training sessions are available on Thursday, October 13. Participation is limited to paid conference attendees. Registration fees include one training session. Additional sessions are available for a $25 fee on a first come, first served basis.

Panelists include Quinnipiac law professor William Dunlap, Quinnipiac medical school dean Kim-Thu Pham, and Doug Schwartz, Director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

CBA General Counsel Eric Kemmler will moderate a discussion about current topics in the state and federal governments. Panelists include NAB Executive Vice President Curtis LeGeyt and Patrick McCabe from Capitol Strategies, Hartford.

NAB Chief Technology Officer Sam Matheny discusses the latest developments in broadcast technology, including NABs Pilot consortium.
