In previous editions of this column I have highlighted the commitment BEA has made to showcasing innovative media pedagogy, academic research and creative scholarship at our annual convention. In this column, I want to encourage our members to attend their geographic district meeting and at least one interest division business meeting. The district and division business meetings are essential to the effective governance and continued growth and innovation of BEA.
I mentioned in January that attendees no longer have to get up early on Tuesday morning to attend the district meetings. Instead the district meetings have all been scheduled for Saturday afternoon from 5:45 PM – 6:30 PM, immediately following the #BEAdvised Welcome and Organization Update session. These district meetings will wrap up the sessions for the day and precede the President’s Poolside Welcome Happy Hour.
The interest division business meetings are scattered throughout the conference program on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I hope you’ll plan to attend one or two of the division meetings that are most important to you. I’ve listed the interest division business meeting schedule for your convenience below.
