2. Select an Interest Division\u2026<\/span><\/b> Read the division descriptions and select the division to which you wish to submit your research. NOTE: You can submit only ONE paper per division.\u00a0 The same paper cannot be submitted to multiple divisions.<\/span>
3. Submit the title & abstract\u2026 <\/span><\/b>Follow the guidelines to add a title and abstract<\/span>
4. Adding co-authors\u2026 <\/span><\/b>At the prompt, add any co-authors to the paper.\u202f Note: If your co-author(s) aren\u2019t BEA members, have them create All Academic accounts first so you can easily search and link them to the paper.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
This year\u2019s convention spotlight begins a three-year exploration of artificial intelligence, including <\/span>An AI Society <\/span><\/i>(2026), <\/span>The AI Effect<\/span><\/i> (2027), and <\/span>AI Futures<\/span><\/i> (2028). The themes in these spotlight topics can engage recursively with each other. They can both broadly and specifically consider the unfolding of artificial intelligence in our industry, whether part of or about media content, production, consumption, regulation, individual and societal effects, technology, education, or research. <\/span>An AI Society<\/span><\/i> in BEA2026 encourages scholars to think about AI in the media industry (and how that connects to society\/culture writ large) from any number of vantage points.
