Submit Papers Online<\/strong> Categories & Competitions<\/strong> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.51″]<\/p>\n Paper Submission Process<\/strong><\/p>\n Once you login with your BEA membership login and password, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n 1. Submit a paper\u2026 Click on the link for \u201cSubmit or Edit a Paper or Program Proposal.\u201d Editing Abilities\u2026 You can edit and\/or re-submit papers up until the deadline at 3:00 a.m. ET on December 2nd. Length & Style\u2026 The paper is not to exceed 30 double-spaced pages, including references & tables, and use of APA style or a style suited to the discipline is expected.<\/p>\n The BEA2018 paper competition is BLINDLY REVIEWED Do NOT include a cover page with author and contact information and remove ALL author information from internal pages. Judges need to blindly review your papers. Your paper information will be directly linked to your profile.<\/p>\n The BEA2018 Convention Spotlight is\u2026.. Inclusive Media Today\u2019s media is being challenged by a changing workforce and audience. The audience is searching for and watching media that reflects them and their experience. On the other side of the camera, the industry has been slow to include the wide variety of voices and skilled professionals who can allow the industry to better move forward to serve the changing audience. This is the challenge of inclusive media \u2013 leveraging the multiple backgrounds, perspectives and ideas of storytellers to create engaging media for a diverse audience.<\/p>\n Inclusive Media serves as a spotlight for the convention, but papers are not limited to this area of research and discussion. Papers should be submitted to the division that best fits the goals and objectives of the interest division(s) (descriptions are listed on the submission site). Each division selects up to six papers for presentation at the convention \u2013 four for presentation and two as alternates. In addition, a few papers may be selected by divisions for consideration in the Scholar-to-Scholar poster session.<\/p>\n Membership & Convention Attendance To enter a paper competition, you do NOT need to be a current member, but at least one (1) author of an accepted competitive paper MUST attend the BEA2018 convention to present the paper. \n2. Select an Interest Division\u2026 Read the division descriptions and select the division to which you will submit your paper. Papers may NOT be submitted to more than one division in the same year.
\n3. Submit the title & abstract\u2026 Follow the guidelines to add a title and abstract
\n4. Adding co-authors\u2026 At the prompt, add any co-authors to the paper. Note: If your co-author(s) aren\u2019t BEA members, have them create All Academic accounts first so you can easily search and link them to the paper.
\n5. Review & Upload\u2026 Review your information and upload your paper.<\/p>\n
