<\/strong>Scholar to Scholar presentations create a unique opportunity for questions and exchanges not available in more formal sessions.\u00a0 Presenters should take advantage of the opportunity to have an exchange with those who choose to come to the session.\u00a0 All of our poster are presented in digital format on monitors located around the exhibit hall. Poster presenters should bring presentations on flash drives that can be plugged into large monitors (they can be static or in PowerPoint form).<\/p>\n
Panels are one hour in length so time management is key.
– If your panelists have presentations, try to collect them all in advance and use one computer.
– Use the 15 minutes in between sessions to get organized.
-The moderator should keep introductions brief.\u00a0 Speaker bios should all be in the panelists profile on the app, so don’t waste too much time introducing each speaker.\u00a0 Introduce everyone at once.
– Each speaker should have 10-12 minutes and that should leave 10 minutes at the end for Q&A.<\/p>\nVirtual Presentation<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/strong>Visit the convention program at https:\/\/bea2023.sched.com\/ <\/a>and login to your account.\u00a0 Click the circle next to the session title to add the session to your schedule.\u00a0 Once the session is added, a yellow “Open Zoom” link will appear.\u00a0 Speakers can access that 10 minute before the session starts<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Yes. A staff member will meet you in the Zoom Room to do a check to make sure speakers can share their screens and access everything.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>All speakers are directly linked to their session so they will have exclusive access to their session 10 minutes early.\u00a0 Simply click on the zoom link 10 minutes before the session starts to do AV checks and talk to your fellow panelists!\u00a0 All other attendees will have access to the session 1 minute before a session starts.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>We know that provosts at some schools have indicated that papers already peer-reviewed and accepted to our conference will be counted in the same way as if the paper was presented at the conference.\u00a0 We hope that this policy will be universally accepted by institutions for tenure and promotion considerations going forward.<\/p>\n\n
