The Gender Issues Division of the Broadcast Education Association invites paper submissions for its annual paper competition. We encourage all to submit papers concerned with any issue related to gender and the media. The Gender Issues Division stimulates awareness and discussion of existing issues and problems related to gender concerns in the media and media education.

Categories

  • Debut - open for those who have never presented a paper at the BEA conference. The winner in this category receives a $100 cash award; author must present paper to receive award
  • Open - open for those who have previously presented a paper at the BEA conference

Paper Requirements

  • 3 copies
  • 30 pages or less including references and tables using APA or style suited to the discipline
  • Author names(s), institution, and address on the top sheet only
  • Designate category (debut or open) on the top sheet
  • Authors of selected papers are expected to present their papers at the conference

Submission Deadline: Postmarked by December 1, 2001
