This year’s On-Location program brings together teaching, research, creative work and industry connections in the smaller, conversational setting that makes this conference unique.<\/p>\n
We’ll tackle everything from television and sports media to filmmaking, journalism, teaching and community engagement, with plenty of ideas you can take back and use in your classroom. You’ll also hear new research, see creative work from BEA faculty, and join a conference-wide conversation with state broadcast associations about creating more opportunities for students.<\/p>\n
We all know some of the best conversations happen outside the sessions, so we’ve built in time to catch up with colleagues at our reception, breaks, lunchtime activities and Saturday brewery tour.<\/p>\n

On-Location Heads Back to Campus!<\/strong>
BEA is looking forward to heading back to a college campus this fall!\u00a0 Normal and the greater Bloomington-Normal area makes it easy to turn BEA’s fall conference into a fall getaway. Just steps from Illinois State University, Uptown Normal has a welcoming, walkable feel with restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and gathering spots where attendees can catch up with colleagues or keep the conversation going after sessions wrap for the day.<\/p>\n
