BEA Connect Travel Group
Travel budgets are tight and we could all share in the expenses this year. As a result, we bring you the “Official BEA Event Travel Group” page on BEA Connect, BEA’s community to share and network. Need to split an Uber from Denver to Ft. Collins for On-Location? Renting a car and have room for another passenger? Please feel free to use this group to search for travel partners. For example, you can post: “I arrive in Denver for On-Location 11 am on October, 6th, email me at XXXXXXX if you are interested in sharing an Uber.”  Visit BEA Connect to access the group.

Parking at CSU
Here is a link to parking information for visitors.  Like most campuses, parking can be difficult to deal with, so please read the parking information and plan carefully.  The Park Mobile app allows someone to update their parking without having to go back to a lot.  Please note that the purple circles on the map below designates those lots that usually have the best availability.
Click here for an additional parking map.  This map shows approximate limits and locations of parking areas.

Flights & Travel to Campus

Flying to Colorado
Denver (DIA) is really the only option to fly into.  There are a couple of flights that fly into the Fort Collins/Loveland airport, but it’s not a reasonable alternative 98% of the time since the airlines are in and out for service there.

Transportation from the airport to the conference
Groome Transportation
is the shuttle service between the airport and Fort Collins. They have direct service to the Hilton Hotel, which is the recommended hotel.  Anyone who can share an Uber ride would pay about $100-$120.  Rental cars are a good bet for anyone who wants to do some exploring.

Hotels

*Hilton Hotel, which is the recommended hotel.  It’s a short walk to the Student Center, about 1/4 of a mile.

*If anyone wants a taste of Fort Collins Old Town, we recommend the Armstrong Hotel. It has a lot of character, but it’s about a 1.25 miles walk to the student center.

*The Best Western University Inn is very convenient, across the street from the University to the East.

There’s also the Elizabeth Hotel, which is fairly new and also downtown.

There are a lot of other newer hotels (Candlewood suites, Quality Inn, Homewood Suites and the Cambria Hotel) but the other listed are more inconvenient.  The Marriott also isn’t bad, but it’s not walking distance.

*The Best Western, Hilton, and Armstrong are within walking distance, although the Armstrong is a bit of a longer walk.
