We seek a forward-thinking educator with<br>expertise in sports broadcasting or video production and related areas of communication studies.<br>Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teaching three courses per semester (in person), which will include courses supporting the School of<br>Communication degree programs, the communication core, and one section of public speaking each<br>semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining an active research agenda in a relevant field of specialization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining regular posted office hours and advising a regular roster of students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating in program assessment and curriculum development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining\/cultivating industry contacts related to your teaching area(s) and keeping abreast of the<br>changing technologies and issues related to the field.<br>Qualifications:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Ph.D. in Communication or a related field; ABD with an expected completion date of no more than 6<br>months from the time of hire or an M.A.\/M.F.A. in Communication or a related field and at least five<br>years of professional experience in broadcasting or television production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior teaching experience at the college level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record of scholarly activity, including research publications, conference presentations, and\/or grant<br>funding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of and skills in audio and video production. The candidate should be able to demonstrate<br>experience across the full production process from writing to post-production.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of social media management, analytics, and content creation skills related to a range of social<br>media applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of and skills related to Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premiere Pro Video, Audio for Video, and<br>Motion Graphics) or comparable creative software applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of and skills related to the use of broadcast studio equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Given the current political and<br>fiscal climate, Westminster College does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at<br>this time.<br>Westminster College is a nationally recognized liberal arts college, known for its collaborative environment,<br>outstanding experiential learning programs, and focus on student success.
