The position is a 10-month, tenure-track academic appointment.&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Earned\u00a0Terminal Degree (PhD or MFA) in Media Production, Broadcasting, or Journalism, or a closely related field, by June 1, 2027, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in courses requiring audiovisual media production.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least ONE (1) year of professional experience working in the multimedia\/broadcast field, whether on the editorial or production side, or a combination of both.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The credentials to teach courses covering at least THREE (3) of the following skill sets:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Broadcast Reporting &amp; Writing, Producing, and\/or Announcing including familiarity with news content management systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Single- and Multi-Camera Video Production in Location\/Field Environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video and Audio Production and Post-Production for and utilizing Mobile Media Devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Multi-Camera Video Production in Studio Environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video and Audio Production and Post-Production for Professional Single-Camera Workflows including the use of professional cameras, wireless microphones, tripods, and production software such as the Adobe Creative Cloud<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to the practice and teaching of journalistic standards including ethics and newsworthiness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research\/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The preferred candidate will have at least THREE (3) years of professional experience in the multimedia\/broadcast field, on either the editorial or production side, or a combination of both.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teaching experience at the undergraduate level or higher, including course design, curriculum development, and assessment, in multiple modes of delivery including: face-to-face, online, site-synchronous, and hybrid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ideal candidate will possess the credentials to teach courses covering ALL of the following skill sets, with specific emphasis on application within Sports Media:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Broadcast Reporting &amp; Writing, Producing, and\/or Announcing including familiarity with news content management systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Single- and Multi-Camera Video Production in Location\/Field Environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video and Audio Production and Post-Production for and utilizing Mobile Media Devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Multi-Camera Video Production in Studio Environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video and Audio Production and Post-Production for Professional Single-Camera Workflows including the use of professional cameras, wireless microphones, tripods, and production software such as the Adobe Creative Cloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Proposed Salary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commensurate with experience.<br>This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Required Documents to Attach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A complete application consists of a letter addressing the qualifications cited above; a curriculum vitae<em>;<\/em>&nbsp;and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of at least&nbsp;three&nbsp;professional references.
