{"id":7430,"date":"2026-06-26T15:22:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T15:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beaweb.org\/JB\/?p=7430"},"modified":"2026-06-26T15:22:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T15:22:03","slug":"account-executive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beaweb.org\/JB\/2026\/7430\/","title":{"rendered":"Account Executive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing potential clients of the merits of television advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishes credible relationships with local business community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements &amp; Skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum one year\u2019s experience in sales, preferably in the media field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license with an acceptable driving record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing potential clients of the merits of television advertising.
