This is a one-year<br>temporary position with health benefits. The teaching load is eight courses a year over two<br>semesters (4\/4). We seek applicants who demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence in a<br>range of courses. Possible areas of teaching may include introductory and intermediate courses<br>in media, digital media, social media, sports media, media production, journalism,<br>communication technology, writing, and design. The format of classes includes both in-person<br>and online courses. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is desirable, as these tools are<br>commonly used in our media courses.<br>Required qualifications: The successful applicant must have a PhD or MFA in media or<br>communication or a closely related discipline by August 15, 2026.<br>Qualified applicants should upload the following application materials:<br>1) a cover letter indicating how the candidate\u2019s qualifications and experience prepare them for this<br>position.<br>2) a curriculum vita.<br>3) a teaching portfolio, including teaching statements, sample syllabi, summaries of course<br>evaluations, documentation of teaching awards or recognitions, and other materials that demonstrate<br>teaching effectiveness.<br>4) names and contact information for three professional references.<br>5) optional work samples: Applicants are encouraged to submit additional materials that demonstrate<br>their experience in media, such as creative portfolios, recently completed media projects, research<br>statements, and representative publications.<br>Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
