{"id":7283,"date":"2026-01-12T16:02:29","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T16:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beaweb.org\/JB\/?p=7283"},"modified":"2026-01-12T16:02:30","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T16:02:30","slug":"keloland-media-group-reporter-multimedia-journalist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beaweb.org\/JB\/2026\/7283\/","title":{"rendered":"KELOLAND Media Group- Reporter, Multimedia Journalist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Multimedia Journalist Reporter produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for candidates who is the following areas: Yankton, SD; Vermillion, SD; Huron, SD; Aberdeen, SD; Brookings, SD; Watertown, SD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reports news stories for broadcast, describing the background and details of events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranges interviews with people who can provide information about stories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews and evaluates notes taken about event aspects to isolate pertinent facts and details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determines a story\u2019s emphasis, length and format, and organizes material accordingly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researches and analyzes background information related to news stories to be able to provide complete and accurate information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitches stories to news managers and news producers which are relevant to the local community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives assignments and evaluates leads and tips to develop story ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discusses issues with producers and\/or news managers to establish priorities or positions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Checks reference materials such as books, news files or public records to obtain relevant facts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revises work to meet editorial approval or to fit time requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shoots and edits news events and news reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produces and presents reports for all platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writes stories for the web and other eMedia platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interacts with viewers\/users on social media sites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs special projects and other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluency in English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to <em>ad lib<\/em> when required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum two years\u2019 experience in news reporting (Depending on market size)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Superior on-air presence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nexstar.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/nexstar\/job\/Reporter--Multimedia-Journalist_REQ-39840?locationRegionStateProvince=745d76f06d2b41738aecee630c5888a0\">https:\/\/nexstar.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/nexstar\/job\/Reporter&#8211;Multimedia-Journalist_REQ-39840?locationRegionStateProvince=745d76f06d2b41738aecee630c5888a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Multimedia Journalist Reporter produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.
