WLFI-TV has an opening for a News Assignment Manager\/Producer. Our next newsroom team member will deliver news important to viewers with local, accurate, and visual content. WLFI\u2019s newsroom is a team atmosphere and we\u2019re looking for someone with an understanding of local news, to come in and play a pivotal role in our successful newsroom. The primary purpose is to create, lead and organize content for multiple platforms using strong editorial, journalistic, organizational and communication skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Developing newscasts and local programs; responsible for writing, and showcasing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working closely with News managers and Producers to determine content <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Executing time-sensitive decisions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responsible for oversight of live broadcast <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Desktop editing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Posting content to WLFI\u2019s Web site<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Requirements:
Knowledge of ENPS, Edius preferred<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Excellent conversational and creative writing skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Must have strong communication and organization skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adaptable, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience:Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism or related field
Experience as a producer preferred<\/p>\n\n\n\n
