We are looking for someone who can enterprise stories and excels at breaking news.&nbsp;This person will research, pitch and report stories for our newscasts and digital platforms. &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reports news stories for broadcast, describing the background and details of events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranges interviews with people who can provide information about stories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitches stories to news managers and news producers which are relevant to the local community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives assignments and evaluates leads and tips to develop story ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discusses issues with producers and\/or news managers to establish priorities or positions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revises work to meet editorial approval or to fit time requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shoots and edits news events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produces and presents reports for all platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writes stories for the web and other digital and social media platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interacts with viewers\/users on social media sites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs special projects and other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements &amp; Skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluency in English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to <em>ad lib<\/em> when required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Superior on-air presence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license with a good driving record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility to work any shift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nexstar.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/nexstar\/details\/Reporter-MultiMedia-Journalist_REQ-35984-1\">https:\/\/nexstar.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/nexstar\/details\/Reporter-MultiMedia-Journalist_REQ-35984-1<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dominant&nbsp;CBS\/ABC&nbsp;combo serving the Tri-Cities, Tennessee and Virginia communities is looking for a SUPERSTAR&nbsp;Reporter\/MMJ. &nbsp; Our amazing community is home to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Birthplace of Country Music, Bristol Motor Speedway,&nbsp;a Hard Rock Hotel and &amp; Casino plus World Class Hiking and Fishing.
