WLFI-TV seeks a television Newscast Producer. Our next newsroom team member will deliver news important to viewers with local, accurate, and visual content. WLFI\u2019s newsroom is a team atmosphere and we\u2019re looking for someone who can come in to play a pivotal role in our successful newsroom. The primary purpose is to create, lead and organize content for multiple platforms using strong editorial, journalistic, organizational and communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key activities:
\u2022Developing newscasts and local programs; responsible for writing, and showcasing
\u2022Working closely with news managers and assignment editors to determine content
\u2022Executing time-sensitive decisions
\u2022Responsible for oversight of live broadcast
\u2022Desktop editing
\u2022Posting content to WLFI\u2019s Web site<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Education\/Experience:
\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism or related fieldSkills and Abilities:\u2022Knowledge of Edius preferred
\u2022Excellent conversational and creative writing skills
\u2022Must have strong communication and organization skills
\u2022Adaptable, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
