WQOW, the ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, WI, is looking for an energetic Sports Anchor and Multimedia Journalist to join our sports department. This person would anchor the sports segment for our evening weekend newscasts and report on sports during the week. Our award-winning sports team is hyper-focused on covering local sports. Creating and maintaining local community contacts is a must. We also cover professional level teams and events throughout the year, including Green Bay Packer games. Sports is more than just reading scores and reporting highlights. Your compelling coverage must go beyond the game. We want you to create shareable stories for all our platforms, including websites, mobile platforms and social media. The successful candidate will do it all: shoot sports and news, write stories, edit, produce, anchor and report live.
If you have a strong on-air presence with a credible delivery and personable style and have ability to execute engaging live shots, we want you on our team.
Applicants must have a degree in broadcast journalism or a related multimedia field and prior on-camera professional experience.
