Chief Engineer and Production Manager designs, analyzes, and maintains media equipment and systems in the Department of Communication, including production studios, audio labs, and video editing suites, and in support of WASU-FM and the cable channel AppTV. Manages equipment checkout processes, inventory, edit suites, and building access. Works with faculty and students to demonstrate how to use the production equipment and assists in the technical production and engineering of remote and studio projects. Understands and complies with applicable university policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Stays current with emerging technology and provides well-researched recommendations for equipment and systems upgrades. Communicates effectively with students, faculty, staff and guests.
