The Department of Media invites applications for a Lecturer in media production to begin Fall 2024. We seek energetic scholars to work in a team-oriented department. Ideal candidates will show potential for teaching students both theoretical and professional dimensions of the department’s main areas of study. Applicants must be prepared to teach in Video Production and one or more of the following:
Live Event Production
Broadcast
Audio Production
Documentary

Essential Functions

Demonstrate dedication to teaching theory and practice appropriate to a pre-professional academic degree.

Support experiential learning that helps students develop knowledge, skills, and abilities appropriate to integrated media and strategic communications careers.

Contribute service to the department, the college, the university, and outside communities. Show commitment to a team-oriented department with curriculum-driven student learning.

Demonstrate ability and willingness to collaborate across disciplines with other departments as relevant to teaching and scholarship. Minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree Evidence of significant media production experience, by the time of appointment.

Preferred qualifications:
Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate level.Evidence of critical recognition in the field.
