The Department of Journalism and Media Studies in Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information invites applications for an academic year (nine-month), three-year, renewable non-tenure track professional faculty position, with a specialization in multimedia production. We seek an experienced professional and innovative instructor of courses in digital media production, video or broadcast production, audio production/podcasting, or immersive media. Investigative journalism experience would be a plus. Opportunities to teach journalism skills courses involving writing, reporting, editing and design also exist. An annual allocation for job-related activity is provided. The appointment begins on September 1, 2024.

We seek a creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking colleague who can help prepare our 400 undergraduate majors, and students in our growing master’s track in Digital Media, for today’s rapidly-changing media fields. Applicants should have experience with camera setups, audio storytelling and production, video editing and lighting, and familiarity with professional broadcast production workflows.

Job Responsibilities Responsibilities of non-tenure track faculty members include teaching and service contributions in accordance with university policy.
