(60% of time)• Conceptualize and produce creative video content with faculty, staff, and students using cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.• Develop multimedia content, primarily videos, using Adobe Creative Cloud products like Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and others as needed.• Publish video content for TLT and the university on its video platforms like Kaltura, YouTube, and social media platforms.• Develop creative solutions as a producer, script writer, director, and cinematographer, still photographer, editor, and motion graphic designer.• Optimize video formats and compression codecs for web, social media, digital signage, and other distributions.• Evaluate new project requests based on university impact, continuing relevance, institutional priorities, and required resources.• Consult with clients to understand, refine, and develop creative solutions in collaboration with instructional technologists, other TLT staff, and campus partners.• Work independently and as part of a team to establish project estimates, deliverables, and timelines; work closely with clients/stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to determine requirements and facilitate the creation of multimedia content.• Employ principles of digital accessibility in content creation, such as video captions and color contrast.• Advise faculty, staff, and students on best practices for remote production and self-service projects.• Monitor general media copyright laws, especially applicable to electronic media.• Remain informed of current video trends, techniques, and best practices through research, training, and workshops.2. Partner with university departments and other video producers. (20% of time)• Collaborate with University Communications for high-profile productions, such as Presidential and University Advancement videos, and other special projects.• Support with video coverage of major university events, such as opening of school, Homecoming, and commencements and share footage between different production teams.• Lead the Video Users Group and support video stakeholders on campus to enhance video productions through knowledge sharing and collaboration.3. Support TLT operations. (20% of time)• Research, order, and maintain video production gear and software for TLT.• Serve as an active member of TLT supporting the advancement of instructional technologies.• Provide training and consultations to students, faculty, and staff on video production, audio/video equipment, and software for producing and publishing creative content.• Hire, supervise, develop, and mentor Teaching and Learning Technologies’ video production students.Other duties as needed or required.Education and ExperienceEducationRequired: Bachelor’s degree.
