The Department of Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mass Communications with specialty in Strategic Communications. The St. Cloud State University Department of Mass Communications, an ACEJMC-accredited program with more than 300 majors and a master’s degree in Strategic Communications, is looking for a colleague to teach required strategic communications and core courses in the department. The appointment will begin in Fall 2019.The successful candidate will teach courses in strategic communication, writing for mass media, principles of visual design in strategic and journalism contexts, and video/graphic design software and equipment. For tenure consideration, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to, 1) teach and/or perform assignment effectively; 2) engage in scholarly and/or creative activity; continue preparation and study in the discipline; 4) contribute to student growth and development; and 5) provide service to the university and community.
