Fort Hays State University and the Department of Informatics is accepting applications for an assistant professor of Informatics. The selected candidate will teach courses in the areas of entrepreneurial digital storytelling, digital media production, multimedia writing, and journalism.   The successful candidate will stay current in the field through active research and/or practice, will work with department, college, university staff, and administrators to recruit students, and will contribute to building industry partnerships for the purposes of intern and graduate placement. This is a tenure-track position, salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: Terminal degree in digital storytelling, digital journalism, media informatics or media arts and science.  Degrees including coursework in web or video, as well as a record of peer-reviewed creative and/or scholarly endeavors preferred.
