JOHN HARE - 2003 BAYLISS ROASTEE

Dear Bayliss Foundation Friend,

As promised in last month's Bayliss Bulletin, the directors of The John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation today are pleased to reveal the identity of the next Bayliss Foundation roastee: John Hare, ABC Radio Division President, will be the "dis" honored guest at the annual black-tie Bayliss Radio Roast to be held March 13, 2003, at The Pierre Hotel in New York City. Mr. Hare joins the ranks of previous prominent Bayliss Roastees who have helped the Bayliss Foundation raise scholarship dollars for worthy broadcast students since 1986.

Appointed to the ABC Radio post of President in 1999, Mr. Hare currently oversees the entire division of radio stations as well as ABC Radio Networks, which reaches over 144 million listeners per week in 90 countries. He began his broadcasting career in 1969 as an Account Executive at KXYZ-AM & FM in Houston, Texas. Prior to 1984, Mr. Hare served in a variety of increasingly responsible radio positions from Washington, DC to Michigan, ultimately being promoted to Vice-President/GM of KTKS-FM in Dallas, TX. Two years later, he became President/GM of WBAP/AM in Dallas, Texas. In 1996, Mr. Hare became President/GM of KSCS-FM Dallas and assumed responsibility for ABC's stations in Detroit, MI.

More information about this radio industry event will be sent to you via these Bayliss Bulletins. Or visit us on the web at www.baylissfoundation.org for Radio Roast advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Sincerely,

Kit Hunter Franke
