LARRY PATRICK NAMED TO BAYLISS BOARD
Pacific Grove, CA - June 7, 2007 - The John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation recently named Larry Patrick of Patrick Communications, LLC, to its Board of Directors. An educator, a lawyer, and an entrepreneur, Patrick brings nearly three decades of experience in the media investment banking, station management, and station ownership fields to the Bayliss Board. |
In addition to Patrick Communications, based in Ellicott City, MD, which provides management consulting, investment banking, and brokerage services, Patrick serves as president of Legend Communications, which owns 13 radio stations in Missouri and Wyoming.
Patrick is a former senior vp of the National Association of Broadcasters. He holds a Ph.D. in communications and management from Ohio University and a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he is an adjunct professor. |

A
past president of the Broadcast Education Association and
the National Association of Media Brokers, he has also
served as COO of Gilmore Broadcasting in Kalamazoo, MI,
and held operations and management positions with Nationwide
Communications' WATE-AM/TV Knoxville, TN, Bluegrass Broadcasting's
WKYT-TV Lexington, KY, and at Kentucky Educational Television.
He has handled nearly 500 broadcasting deals worth nearly
$6 billion in his career.
Patrick

on the Bayliss Board: Alice Bayliss; Brad Bedford of Arbitron;
Bishop Cheen of Wachovia Securities; John David of the
NAB; Gary Fries, president emeritus of the Radio Advertising
Bureau; David Kennedy of Interep; Gary Krantz of Westwood
One; Herb McCord of Granum Communications; Virginia Morris
of Hubbard Broadcasting; Barry O'Brien of Barry O'Brien &
Company; Stu Olds of Katz Media Group; George Pine; George
Reed of Media Services Group; B. Eric Rhoads of Radio Ink;
Ron Rodrigues of Arbitron Inc.; and Bill Stakelin of Regent
Communications. Patrick's term began in January of 2007
and will run for three years. |
