O'BRIEN BROADENS BAYLISS FOUNDATION'S REACH

Grove, CA - September 12, 2006 -- The Board of Directors
of The John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation are pleased to announce
that they have entered into an agreement with Barry O'Brien
& Co. to represent the Foundation for all advertising and sponsorship
sales. Company president, Barry O'Brien, has been an active
board member of the Bayliss Foundation for 8 years.
"I am excited
to help move the Foundation one more step up the ladder, and
continuing to work with Bayliss Foundation president Carl Butrum
and Bayliss Foundation executive director Kit Hunter Franke
is a plus," O'Brien said. "By working in this capacity, I feel
that I can truly help the Bayliss Foundation increase funding
for its intern and scholarship programs," O'Brien continued.
"Barry
is devoted to the Bayliss programs and shares our enthusiasm
to broaden the Foundation's reach into the radio community,"
noted Carl Butrum. "Kit and I are delighted to continue our working
relationship with Barry on this level."
Barry O'Brien
has worked in the radio industry for over 35 years, and is probably
best known for his 20 years as VP of Sales at Radio & Records.
He founded Barry O'Brien & Co. in 2000, and since then, has worked
with companies such as New England Cable News and Pro Media to
increase sales.
The Foundation's
major fundraiser, the Bayliss
Radio Roast, will
be held on March 22, 2007, at the Cipriani 42nd Street in New
York City. CBS Radio chairman and CEO Joel Hollander will be
sizzling in the Bayliss "hot-seat" come March! Net
proceeds from this gala benefit the Bayliss radio scholarship fund.
One million dollars has been distributed to over 300 potential
radio broadcasters since 1986.
