NEW DIRECTORS ELECTED TO BAYLISS FOUNDATION BOARD

Pacific Grove, CA January 16, 2004 -- Bayliss Foundation Board Chairman Gary Fries announced today that three radio industry leaders have recently been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Bayliss Foundation. They are David Kennedy, President and COO of Susquehanna Radio Corp.; Peter Smyth, President and CEO of Greater Media, Inc.; and Skip Finley, Vice Chairman of ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc.

In addition to his duties at Susquehanna, Kennedy is a past chairman of both the Joint Board of Directors and the Radio Board of Directors of the NAB. Smyth currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the NAB and the RAB and was one of Radio Ink's 40 Most Powerful People in Radio in both 2001 and 2003. Finley serves on the Radio Board of the NAB and the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters and is a past chairman of the RAB Board of Directors. "The Bayliss Foundation is thrilled to have executives of this caliber join the board," said Fries.

The three new directors have joined the rest of the Board in preparing for the 18th Annual Bayliss Radio Roast, scheduled for March 11, 2004. Lew Dickey, president and CEO of Cumulus Media, Inc. is this year's roastee. The Roast, held annually in New York City, benefits the Bayliss Radio Scholarship program, which awards scholarships to college and university students majoring in radio broadcasting.
