The Communication Arts department at Salisbury University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Integrated Media/Broadcast Journalism beginning Fall 2010. Primary Job Duties: We seek a highly motivated and team-spirited individual to teach undergraduate courses in Integrated Media, Journalism and Public Relations. The successful candidate will be able to teach a variety of courses in our curriculum especially core journalism, broadcast journalism and other media and/or public relations related courses; and courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Salisbury University faculty members are expected to demonstrate appropriate levels of scholarly activity, student advisement and service. Requirements for the position include: Ph.D or ABD in Communication. If ABD; would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the expectation that candidate complete doctoral degree in a timely manner. Evidence of effective teaching; and experience in utilizing and/or instruction of integrated media, social media, broadcast journalism and/or public relations will also be considered.
