The Communication Arts department at Salisbury University invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Integrated
Media/Broadcast Journalism beginning Fall 2010. Primary Job Duties: We
seek a highly motivated and team-spirited individual to teach
undergraduate courses in Integrated Media, Journalism and Public
Relations. The successful candidate will be able to teach a variety of
courses in our curriculum especially core journalism, broadcast
journalism and other media and/or public relations related courses; and
courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Salisbury University
faculty members are expected to demonstrate appropriate levels of
scholarly activity, student advisement and service. Requirements for the
position include: Ph.D or ABD in Communication. If ABD; would be hired
at the rank of Instructor, with the expectation that candidate complete
doctoral degree in a timely manner. Evidence of effective teaching; and
experience in utilizing and/or instruction of integrated media, social
media, broadcast journalism and/or public relations will also be
considered. Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that

commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be
contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. and is
