We are seeking an educator to teach multi-platform production with a
focus on tlelvision production within a converged, multi-media
educational environment. The Mass Communications Department has a
vibrant program and enjoys a high standard of student achievement. The
successful candidate will teach television production and courses with
content such as multi-media theory, Web development, social media,
mobile media, content management, and interactive media across the
curriculum. The successful candidate will also take a leadership role in
continuing to implement the Department's multi-media/convergence
initiatives (including the Department and student media Websites), and
is expected to emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusiveness
in contemporary media through the courses taught. Qualifications and
Experience: -Earned Masters Degree in multi-media, television
production, mass communications, or related area with significant
professional multi-media and television experience; -Professional and
academic experience and demonstrated skills in digital multi-platform
and television production (specifically Avid editing), Web development,
and the Adobe Creative Suite applications. -Professional and academic
experience and demonstrated skills with Web 2.0 standards, social media,
mobile media, content management, and interactive media. SCSU is
