The Department of Communication Studies at the State University of
New York at Oswego invites applications for a for a one-year, non-tenure
track, Visiting Assistant Professor in Broadcasting/Mass Communication.
Review Date: Review of applications will begin July 1st, and will
continue until the position is filled. Salary: Commensurate with
experience Date of Appointment: August 2010 Description of
Responsibilities: Candidates will teach eight classes during the
academic year. These courses may include Introduction to Mass Media,
Mass Media and the Law, Broadcasting and Cable, and/or radio production,
broadcast journalism, writing for the media or specialty. Some
advisement and department service is expected. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a master’s degree in a communication related
field at the time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications: Professional
experience. University-level teaching experience and interest in

department in the School of Communication, Media and the Arts, serving
approximately 700 majors with 28 full and part-time faculty. The
department offers majors in public relations, broadcasting,
