The University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences School of
Journalism and Mass Communication Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of
Visual Communication The University of Iowa School of Journalism and
Mass Communication invites applications for the position of tenure-track
assistant professor in the field of Visual Communication. The
appointment will begin August 2011. Qualifications: Ph.D. and
college-level teaching experience required. The ideal candidate will
have professional experience that includes online media and digital
videography/photography and will show potential for a significant
national/international record of achievement in research. The successful
candidate should be forward-thinking about rapidly changing trends in
media and be able to contribute to the School’s evolving digital
curriculum initiatives. Responsibilities include teaching online media
and visual communication courses ranging from undergraduate to graduate
level. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work
effectively with undergraduate and graduate students and participate in
